I absolutely love this easy recipe, as a way to spice things up! These salty sweet nuts are the perfect blend of sweet and savory, making a decadent addiction, out of a healthy snack. I love these nuts as a quick snack when I’m on the go, as toppings over smoothie bowls, thrown over a bowl of oats, or eaten with a side of dark chocolate and coconut for a late night treat.
You’ll need:
- Give or take about 3 cups of organic pecans (about 1 & 1/2 8oz packs)
- 3 tbsp organic coconut oil
- 2 tsp organic ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp organic liquid stevia
- 1/4 tsp organic vanilla
- a few generous pinches of salt
Preheat oven to 350, and throw pecans on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Melt together coconut oil, cinnamon, vanilla, stevia, & a pinch of salt, & stir until a syrup consistency is created.
Pour about 3/4 of the syrup onto pecans & stir around until evenly coated.
Bake for 10 minutes, then pull out, stir, and pour the remainder of the syrup onto pecans.
Bake for another 5 minutes.
Pull pecans out, sprinkle as much salt as you’d like for an extra salty sweet flavor, & enjoy!
